Energy production and distribution chains are facing significant changes that need to be mastered. Zero-Carbon policies are promoting the diffusion of renewable energy sources which are mainly not programmable. On the other hand, energy demand is expected to increase in order to support more sustainable consumption, in large consumer markets (e.g.: electric vehicles) as well as in industrial consumers (e.g.: hard-to-abate plants).
New technologies are developing, and new services are under experimentation. The role of AI is central to speed up the adoption of new technological solutions.
